Tennessee State University’s Department of Public Health, Health Administration & Information, and Health Sciences prepares leaders to improve care, access, and outcomes across the full continuum—from community health to hospitals and long-term care. Our coursework emphasizes person-centered care, regulatory awareness, quality improvement, and data-driven decision making. Through health administration, health information management, health sciences, and public health pathways, students apply skills with community-based partners, including long-term services and supports, especially in rural and underserved areas. Graduates are prepared to lead teams, meet compliance standards, and drive measurable improvements for older adults and people with disabilities while advancing health for all populations we serve.
