About The Program

The UW-Eau Claire Health Care Administration program was established in 1978 and has worked hard to establish a national reputation for developing long-term care leaders. Graduates earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a comprehensive major in Health Care Administration. The UW-Eau Claire program is the first university program in the country to be accredited as a NAB Health Services Executive program, demonstrating that its graduates are prepared to lead across the whole continuum of health and aging services. The program has a strong emphasis on leadership development and one of its hallmarks is a year-long, paid administrative residency within a senior care organization. The Center for Health Administration and Aging Services Excellence (CHAASE) is another distinction that sets UW-Eau Claire apart, which is a partnership with providers and associations to support the students, faculty, and program. Students in the program have multiple opportunities throughout their educational experience for hands-on learning, professional networking, and developing meaningful relationships with faculty and peers. Our program’s motto is that if you have a heart for caring and a head for business this might be the right program and profession for you.
